VIENNA, VA -- Enterprise software developer Appian announced an upgrade to its business process management enterprise suite that makes it easier for non-experts to obtain insight from the software.

Called Appian 5.6, the new suite includes an AJAX-powered interface designer and rules creater, real-time analytics and desktop and RSS feed integration, to make the suite more accessible to everyone in the organization.

The result of these changes is to allow casual users to be able to create their own forms, work processes and dashboards in order to get the most out of the software without burdening the IT department or requiring lengthy training.
